Dear Students, Guardians, and Community Members,

Welcome! We are excited to welcome our enthusiastic learners
back with Glenwood’s dedicated and passionate staff. Our students’ safety and overall well-
being continues to be our #1 priority because when they feel safe in a caring environment, they
can focus on their academics to propel and prepare them for their future. With high expectations
and realistic goals, our students will flourish both academically and socially. 

At Glenwood, all staff, parents, students, and community members play a vital role in the
quality, preparation, and success of the education of our students. Having parents/guardians
involved in their child's education will help them achieve at their greatest level of potential with
the support of their team. Building responsibility to develop students that can live independently
and contribute to their community is a goal we strive to achieve. A strong home-school relationship is important to me and vital to the student's educational journey.

Glenwood is proud to be a Leader in Me school. What is Leader in Me? It is an evidence-based,
comprehensive model that builds leadership and life skills in our students. Our focus will be centered around student leadership, supporting our staff environment, and goal achievement through student goal setting. By concentrating on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective people, students learn and apply communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and social-emotional skills.  Additionally, the 7 Habits give students, staff, and families a common language and are essential in building a strong leadership culture at our school.
